Who we are

The Coach Business is a network of experienced
and professional coaches, and is headed up by
Michael Schofield.

Michael has been coaching Senior Leaders and their teams to help improve their impact and performance since 2002, and in recent years has also been lecturing on Post Graduate courses in Professional Coaching. He is a member of the Association for Coaching and feedback from leaders in both the private and public sectors indicates they value his experience, his incisive questioning style and the sense of humour he can bring to the coaching process.

Challenging and thought provoking, Michael’s empathetic yet probing approach allows people to discover the solutions best suited for their personal style and situation.

Michael has over 20 years experience in Sales and Marketing in both the Corporate and the dot com world. This provides him with a wealth of experience and a platform from which to understand and relate to the challenges of today’s business environment. His passion for leadership and coaching combined with superior communication skills are the corner stones of his own success and have led him to a career developing others at all levels from Executive and Senior Managers to teams and their leaders. Michael has the ability to quickly understand the specific needs of his clients and produce the solution which will best deliver the results the client is looking for.

Michael has built on his coaching experience by successfully completing Postgraduate courses in Business and Personal Coaching, Coaching Supervision and an ILM accredited Executive Business Coaching course. He also has a B.Sc in Finance and Accounting, a diploma in Marketing and financial services qualifications. During his career he has been awarded a variety of leadership awards in recognition of his contribution to the companies he has worked with.

Questioning technique is a critical skill for a coach, and we pride ourselves on our ability to use incisive questions to cut to the heart of the matter. In turn this helps you to quickly and accurately assess a situation and the potential outcomes. This enables you to really clarify issues and identify the best strategy to adopt to take you forward.
