Leaders are followed because people trust and respect them and this tends to be achieved through the leaders behaviours rather than the skills they possess.

Being able to modify your behaviour to meet different circumstances is an important facet of successful leadership. Effective Leaders need to be able to use a variety of styles to suit both the situation they find themsleves in and the people they are leading. Understanding your natural style of leadership is the first step in this process and how you can adapt this to meet different demands.
